The online reference tools I use most frequently are:

diccionarios.com (English-Spanish; Spanish-English; French-Spanish;
Spanish-French): It contains the excellent VOX dictionaries in several
combinations (including Catalan), in addition to a monolingual Spanish
dictionary and a Spanish thesaurus.

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary and Theasaurus (English; thesaurus):
The best monolingual English dictionary on the Web, plus a nifty thesaurus.

Diccionario de la Lengua Española de la Real Academia (DRAE)
(Spanish): Yeah, yeah, everybody likes to dump on it, but, hey, it's free and
it's really useful. Despite its critics, it is still the best online tool for Latin
American Spanish.

ProZ.com Term Search (every combination): Contains the results of several
years of queries from translators to colleagues all over the world. Obviously
a hodge-podge, from the best and the brightest to the worst and the dullest,
but it's always a good place to stop when you're working on a field
somewhat outside of your usual range, if only to spot the most frequent
pitfalls. Therefore, handle with extreme care.

Two good tools for financial translation:

Investopedia (English): Monolingual financial glossary, as well as a wide
breadth of resources for the novice investor.

InvestorWords (English): Glossary of financial lingo in English.

And an indispensable tool for the financial translator:

The Wall Street Journal (English): How are you going to translate financial
texts if you can't understand them? A subscription to this publication is
worth a thousand M.B.A.'s. ¡Go for it! It's not brain surgery, and within less
than a couple of weeks you may be greedily eyeing that upcoming IPO.
Fellow Translators:

Joao Roque Dias: Joao is a technical translator from English into
European Portuguese. He has a nifty website with hundreds of useful links.
